Mohamed Aweis

CEO & Founder of IRMMCR

Mohamed Aweis is the Founder and CEO of Ikhlas Rescue for Mothers and Minority Consultancy and Research (IRMMCR), where he leads initiatives promoting equity, inclusion, and transformative program development. With extensive experience in strategic leadership, program design, and organizational growth, he combines deep local insight with global best practices to deliver high-impact programs in humanitarian assistance, social development, and policy advisory. His work translates research into actionable, sustainable solutions that address the needs of marginalized communities while aligning with international standards.

 

In addition to leading IRMMCR, Mohamed lectures at the University of Southern Somalia, one of the most prestigious universities in the Southwest State. There, he bridges academic research with practical humanitarian interventions, strengthening local institutions, enhancing community well-being, and contributing to sustainable economic growth. His leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to social equity position him as a dynamic thought leader driving meaningful change at both local and global levels.

Sandra Aceng

Director of Programs

Sandra Aceng is the Director of Programs at Ikhlas Rescue for Mothers Minority Consultant and Research (IRMMCR), with over 10 years of experience in research, policy development, and gender equity. She specializes in translating complex research into actionable policy solutions and has extensive expertise in gender analysis and equity-focused initiatives. Known for her strong analytical skills and effective stakeholder engagement, Sandra leads high-impact consulting projects that combine technical excellence with practical, regionally relevant insights.

Her background as a policy analyst and contributor to global advisory groups enables her to deliver tailored solutions that align with both regional realities and global standards.

Abdikani Abdi Ahmed

Water treatment, operation, plant maintenance and mechanical services Officer

Abdikani Ahmed has over 15 years of experience in fragile, refugee, and conflict-affected settings. A certified Grade One Mechanic with a Higher Diploma, he brings 12+ years of expertise in water operations, governance, and inclusive dialogue.

 

He is skilled in water chlorination, plumbing, and mechanics training, having trained 100+ professionals across Dadaab refugee camps and South-Central Somalia. With strong technical, managerial, and problem-solving abilities, Abdikani is also experienced in engaging PPP utility companies to support effective project implementation.
